WHO WE ARE
We are a non-profit located in the Mid-Atlantic region that helps families recover from disasters by supporting schools and other community centers.
OUR IMPACT
We’ve supported school communities from Houston, Texas to Westernport, Maryland after significant natural disasters. Our work has helped students and families in these communities return to normal after these crises.

We helped communities in Western Maryland rebuild after catastrophic flooding affected the region. We replaced damaged play equipment at Westernport Elementary School, helping children return to normalcy with a safe place to play. Beyond the playground, we partnered with like-minded organizations to support individual homeowners as they worked to get back on their feet.
-
Following Hurricane Harvey, we mobilized educators and community members to distribute essential supplies to families in need through school-based food pantries.
OUR STORY
In August 2017, Hurricane Harvey struck Houston, Texas, causing billions of dollars in damage, and upending millions of lives. That summer, educators and community leaders partnered to transform local schools into centers for community relief and provide essential supplies to students and their families.
Today, we aim to expand this spontaneous local effort into a national initiative. Recognizing that those closest to an emergency are best equipped to lead recovery efforts, we launched the Disaster Resilience and Response Network to empower communities in crisis.
